PhilTower Consortium Inc., the country’s leading digital shared infrastructure provider, has forged a partnership with SiteSee and QNSI to digitize 1,350 cell towers purchased from Globe last year.
GLOBE Telecom on Friday reported the transfer of another 132 towers to Phil-Tower Consortium Inc. (PhilTower) under a sale and leaseback deal worth approximately P2 billion.
The towers, located in the Visayas and Mindanao, are almost all ground-based (94 percent) and the rest located on rooftops.
“With this recent closing, an aggregate of 710 out of 1,350 tower assets were successfully turned over to PhilTower,” Globe said in a statement.
